Cookie Policy
About this policy
This policy explains how Kent County Cricket Club (“Kent Cricket”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies across www.kentcricket.co.uk, the Kent Cricket ticketing website and the Kent Cricket online shop. It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle personal information and how you can exercise your rights. The three services are managed on separate platforms and may use separate consent controls and cookie declarations. We use a consistent approach to category names and choices across them. A choice made on one platform applies to another only where shared consent has been specifically implemented and tested; otherwise, you may be asked to choose again. The Cookie settings and declaration shown on each platform explain the technologies and choices that apply there.
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use technologies such as local storage, tags and pixels where identified in the cookie declaration below. They can help websites work, remember choices and measure use or advertising performance. This policy uses “cookies” to include these technologies where relevant. Session cookies normally expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until their stated expiry or until they are deleted. First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting; third-party cookies are set by another provider. Cookie identifiers and associated information can be personal data even when they do not contain your name.
Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies support services you request, website security and the recording of your cookie choices. We use them only where essential for the relevant purpose. They remain active when you reject optional cookies. Advertising and campaign attribution are not treated as necessary website functions.
Optional cookies
We ask for your permission before using optional cookies. The categories available across our digital services use consistent definitions, while the providers and technologies used on each platform are shown in that platform’s Cookie settings and cookie declaration.
- Analytics and measurement: help us understand use of our websites, referral sources, campaign performance and agreed actions, including ticket and shop purchases where configured. Where listed in the relevant declaration, Google Analytics 4 is used for this purpose. Analytics consent does not automatically give permission for advertising.
- Optional functionality: supports additional features and preferences that are not essential to provide the service you request. Some third-party media or interactive features may remain unavailable until you enable their relevant purpose.
- Advertising and marketing: where used, helps measure advertising, create audiences or personalise advertising. These purposes require the relevant permission and are explained in Cookie settings.
We do not treat scrolling, continuing to browse, silence or closing a banner as consent to optional cookies. Optional categories are off until you choose to enable them.
Your cookie choices
Use the cookie banner to allow all optional cookies, allow necessary cookies only, or manage your preferences by purpose. If a “Decline all” button is displayed, it rejects all optional cookies; necessary cookies remain active. “Decline all” and “Allow necessary only” therefore have the same effect. You can change your choices or withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings, available from the website footer or cookie control. Withdrawing consent stops future consent-based tracking but does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent ordinary browsing, although optional features may be unavailable. We remember your choice using a consent record. Its lifetime is shown in the cookie declaration. We may ask you to choose again when that record expires, when you clear browser storage, or when our purposes or providers change in a way that requires fresh consent. Your choice may differ between devices and browsers.
Google Analytics and campaign measurement
Where we use GA4, we enable its measurement tags only after you consent to analytics. Under this configuration, choosing necessary cookies only or declining optional cookies prevents those tags from sending analytics measurement requests. If you allow analytics, it can help us connect visits and actions across the relevant digital services with the campaigns or referral sources that brought you to them. Advertising features are controlled separately. Consent choices, browser settings and technical restrictions can limit measurement. Our reports therefore do not capture every visit or journey across the relevant digital services. We do not use your refusal as permission to recreate tracking through alternative technologies.
Third parties and personal information
Some cookies are provided by organisations supplying services such as analytics, media or advertising. The declaration identifies the providers and explains their purposes. The Privacy Notice explains relevant recipients, data protection rights and any international transfers and safeguards. Following an ordinary external link takes you to a website with its own privacy and cookie arrangements.
